Avira

RexLee

I got a virus message and checked and I saw I had 2 kinds of viruses.

1.ADWARE/InstallCore.Gen7

2.TR/PSW.Qbot.aem.83

What do these do and should I be worried?

only the below can save you now and if they don't then format is what i'd recommend

1 Malwarebytes

2 Avast Anti Virus

3 Hijackthis (to stop it from running/loading etc)

4 process explorer(for killing anything that won't stay closed)

Intel 4790k • Asus Z97-A • Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce • G.Skill 1866 4GBx2 • Corsair HX850W PSU • Noctua NH-D15 Air Cooler • Intel 530 120GB SSD(OS) • 1TB HDD(Games) • Cooler Master HAF 912 • Logitech G15 Key • Razer Abyssus Mouse • Asus 24in 144hz VG248QE

Is it really that bad??

The first one makes it easier to access infected files on your computer.

You probably forgot to uncheck it when you were installing something.

I'm not sure about the second one.

Either way, it's not good.

If these viruses are in avira's quarantine will it still be able to damage my computer?

The second one looks like some form of botnet system, you'll want to get rid of that for sure.

Arch Linux on Samsung 840 EVO 120GB: Startup finished in 1.334s (kernel) + 224ms (userspace) = 1.559s | U mad windoze..?

By the way can the botnet cause my computer to lag, because sometimes my computer lags really badly.

If something gets in you should just do a format and fresh install of windows.

Easier.
