FX Series CPUs are old now and can't cope against Intel's new architecture. I would recommend getting an i5 6400/6500.

Depends on the game really, though I would say that nearly all games are going to run better on an I5. 

 

an I5 has 4 cores, but each are much more powerfull than AMDs cores, very few games will use more than 4 cores at all. 

 

And if you really want 8 cores, there is a nice Xeon for $230 right now

Different Frequencies. i5 6400 is at 3.30GHz and the i5 6500 is at 3.60GHz.

The SSD is for your OS and apps. SSD are generally faster than HDD. But if you want. You can get the 1TB now, then get the 850 SSD later. You'll need to install windows again
