Most likely yes but very dependent on what games you play, slower than my Phenom II even if you clock it passed 5ghz unfortunately.

~~~NOTE: This particular thread borders a CPU and GPU conversation. As there is a separate area for GPU threads, I did not know where to place this. If you believe it is more fit for the Graphics Card section of the forums, I will be more than happy to move this over there~~~ I'm building a new PC. I plan on using the AMD FX-4350 as the CPU with an R9 380X as my graphics card. Will the FX-4350 bottleneck the R9 380X during gaming?

Well it will be a limiting factor in older games (notably RTS and stuff) and crap stuff like ARMA/DAYZ. The FX6300 should be similarly priced.

If you have not yet purchased anything, think about getting a 6300 or even better an 8320.

I've got a budget about $950 USD - $1,200 USD. I'd appreciate some suggestions, yes. ☺
