looks good, i would say thats pretty soild, you might want to have more then 1TB of  storage tho with all those videos :)

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

You have a 980ti and a 1080p monitor. You should be looking at 1440p.

Well you said it not me

why are you buying a 980ti for a 1080p display? that's completely pointless and a massive waste of money

and you probably can't use registered RAM in that board, you need unregistered/unbuffered

I dont need one (price is just as much as 4k for some reason) because the graphics is for rendering,

(dont take my word for it because i dont know what i am saying but,) So i might as well not get a over the top monitor just to push it to the limits.

Very solid build. You will mash allover 1080p, consider looking into other headsets though, the overall quality of the kingston cloud headset isnt very good. Also if you plan of streaming consider getting a studio microphone. :D

I have one, its very good, very comfortable! but it broke because no headset in the world is Family-abuse-proof

How come 1440p monitors are the same cost as 4k? (400 usd most of the time)

27" 1440p displays cost around $250, not sure what you're looking at, but you should be getting a 4k display with a mid range GPU, as displays aren't going to change much in a few months, but the high end GPUs will be 20-30% faster at the same cost as the high end GPUs now

Alright then, what would you recommend (display, im not changing the graphics)

you'd end up changing the GPU, A unless your budget is higher, and B because this display is free-sync, and so you'd need an AMD card to use it, granted a 32" or higher 4k display would be better

27" 4K IPS free-sync $450

27" 4K IPS G-sync $900 pricing is fucked on this one currently

and then you end up never having to really replace your display, and still have a beefy GPU, granted the 980ti is going to be faster, especially OC'd although if you end up going with dual GPUs the Fury(non X) are faster than probably stock 980tis at times, probably due to AMD's generally better scaling with higher resolutions and better dual GPU scaling.

course I'd probably just upgrade to a single faster GPU in a year or 2 to get more performance. Although if you do go for dual GPUs you'd want a 1000W PSU like this one
https://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-quark1000

also nvidia's current cards don't look like they're going to support DX12/Vulkan very well, while AMD cards are getting pretty sizable boosts in all the early benchmarks

My question is , (not to offend anyone) is the setup better, or are you and other people less butt-hurt by my stupid choice?

It would be my suggestions because then you have a much better display, instead of a high end GPU that's going to sit idle effectively running games at only 1080p

also why do you have a headset + high end microphone? if your focus is video production you may want to get studio monitor headphones for audio work

and also take a look at some 40" 4k korean displays, it's like having 4 20" 1080p displays, so for video editing your productivity will be unmatched given how much stuff you can fit on the display

this one has free-sync and the implementation has probably been fixed since the video, but double check that

and here's a 28" version, which is closer to what you'd be buying with that LG display, but it's here if you want to hear about how scaling is on it

first of all dont ask about peripherals dammit, ill choose that bc your not my dad.

2nd i'll think about 40" moniters, Because i am 4' 11", It will be bad for my neck, and also my desk might no fit it, 27" is enough for me.

thanks.

I would definitely go for a higher res monitor check this one out.

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-29-Inch-Ultra-wide-LED-Lit-S29E790C/dp/B00TR0518U

Without being gigantic the dpi should be great compared to a 34in should be a very crisp viewing experience.

that one's 1080p man, 21:9 displays in general suck, as you can usually get more pixels for less money elsewhere with a 16:9 display

@josephaltareb,

Take advantage of the 4 channel memory architecture and get either a 4x4GB or 4x8GB memory kit. It does make a difference in content creation type work.

750W is on the large side for a single gpu system and too small for dual GTX 980 Ti. I would suggest going with something like EVGA SuperNOVA 650 or to save even more EVGA 210-GQ-0650-V1.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
