Hi guys,
i have a question, would  this build work with the Psu? I mean  would it have  enough power  to  run  it.

CPU:  E8400 3.0ghz / Xeon  5450  3.0 ghz
RAM: 6 GB DDR2
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G
Video Card:  XFX Radeon HD 4890
Case+ PSU: MS-Tech CA-0140 Minitower with 430W PSU

If it's a standard PSU, It'll be fine.

But that CPU is a different socket type than that motherboard.

The Xeon 5450 is on LGA 771, and the motherboard is LGA 775

It should work but I wouldn't recommended a no name PSU.

Try getting a used Delta, Seasonic or Superflower OEM PSU.

Maybe, but the real question is for how long until it blows up. My guess is it will not last long, so I would use a different PSU.

i am aware of that the cpu is lga771 . i am planing  to mod lga 775 motherboard to support lga 771 cpu.

Usually the psu that come with case and psu combo are shit so I would recommend getting a 80+ rated psu from someone like EVGA or Corsair. It this pc for a nas, server, of what?

honestly   dont know  yet for what i will use  it.  for  now  will try  to OC it  as  much as  i can. as  for psu. i dont want to  buy  new psu .... as i dont  want  to spend extra money on it.

I don't think Xeons can be overclocked. Speaking of overclocking, it's even more important that you have a high quality psu especially because more voltage has to be applied to the cpu.

xean can be  OC'd to some extent if used not  on server motherboard. as  for psu  i know that  good psu is  imporrtant  but to spend extra for  good  one  is too expensive.... it  would  cost  me  almost  half i payed for  the other  parts.

to get  a  used one is not possible for me.
