Dying Light if you haven't played it yet. It's one of the funnest games I've played in a while and only gets better with the following DLC. Co-op and be the zombie are super fun. Also, it's one of the best optimized games on PC. Probably #2 or 3 that have been released in the past 2 years.

Current PC: Origin Millennium- i7 5820K @4.0GHz | GTX 980Ti SLI | X99 Deluxe

I'm not a big fan of zombie games but dying light does a damn good job at it.

I don't think so. it had many performance problems during the first month of the launch. still to this day it doesn't perform how you'd expect it to. when compared to other demanding games like TW3. now that's a game that is well optimized.

or maybe its just my hardware (4690k & 290 w/ 16GBs sys ram, also tested on 4690k & 760 w/ 16GB sys ram) drops frames on both systems @1080p (medium-high). obviously not top-shelf hardware, but goddamn. I'm not looking for Ultra/1080p/60fps. just medium-high without ever seeing "58fps"

It did have a lot of performance options at launch from what I've heard. I play at 1440p with a single 390x since crossfire doesn't work, I run the game with everything on high, view distance max, and Nvidia stuff off. I can play for hours without a single dropped frame below 60. IMO, the Nvidia settings don't add any visual benefit. Also, the reason why I say it's well optimized, is because the frames stay consistent during scenes where other games would have dropped frames. Running/driving through areas with super dense foliage causes 0 drops. A 290 should be more than enough to handle the game at 1080p, Idk about the 760 since that's a much lower end card, but you should be able to tweak stuff like shadows and draw distance and get good performance at 1080p. I think the developers deserve a ton of credit, the game looks just as good as the far cry games, if not a lot better in some scenes, and has 0 drops vs. other open world first person games. TW3 does perform very well though.

Also, the reason why I call it a very good port. Is because you can run it at double the framerate, double the resolution, and with better visuals vs. console with a $200-280 card. Very few games can claim that now a days.

It may not be MMO but a game i play a lot of it is called is Mount & blade warband, it is a pc exclusive, that came out 2010  with the epic Napoleonic wars dlc that is 100% worth buy that came out in 2012, it has a giant range of mods with some that go for MMO scene.

what are the negatives? If you only buy games graphical beauty this is not the game for you , it even had bad graphics for the time and couple years prior of its release. If you don't like the play style of the game you are busted because it repetitive nature after 100 hours but this can be solved by join a regiment in Napoleonic wars or native or just by playing a mod for the game, I will get more in that on the positives side of this game.

What are the positives? I love this game I have over 300+ hours and I have friend over 3000 hours, reason for this is because it amazing completive / community scene is outstanding for Napoleonic wars with the regiments, that are still thriving after the release, of the dlc in 2012.

The amazing modding scene has kept  this game alive, if you get bored of the outstanding Napoleonic wars or the disappointment of catching fire ( waste of money) with mods such as

North and south based on the American civil war or PW a MMO based mod were you fight for a house like Game thrones and much more. The cheap price is a big selling point no less than a subway or a big mac with the  base game and Napoleonic wars dlc.

Where can I find a community? all the community,I have been in use ts3 and you find a clan / regiment the by using forums e.g. forums.taleworlds.com
