Is it possible to buy a phone from att with a montly payment but no data & phone service plan, and take the "locked" phone to a service provider on the same network such as cricket wireless?

No. Im trying to switch to cricket wireless because of the amazing prices. The only problem is, you have to buy their phones in full, and i want to pay monthly for the phone. So im wondering if i can buy just the phone from at&t on a monthly payment and use it on cricket wireless.

I don't think thats possible, maybe look at other service providers?

Prepaid phone plans yes. But i want montly payment for the phone. Is it possible to do something like that with sprint and use on a cheap carrier on the sprint network?
