Hello everyone of Linus Tech! I built my rig in mid 2015 and has the following components;

Raidmax Vortex ATX 420-wb case

MSI H81M-P33 mini-ATX motherboard

Intel Core i7 4790S CPU (liquid cooled with corsair h50)

MSI GTX 960 2gb

1TB HHD

corsair CX600M power supply

8gb ddr3 1600 RAM

*Audio Periferals*

Logitech external speakers

Turtle Beach Earforce x11 headset

okay so Ill make the story short- I had ordered some fans that I needed to install for exhaust (trying out a push/pull orientation). So I popped off the front panel of my case and installed everything A-Okay. Once I booted my computer back up, all of the audio had stopped working. I immediately went to Google and Reddit and read up on some potential problems - my drivers could be messed up... so I uninstalled any existing drivers for my speakers and headphones. Then I threw my motherboard driver disk into my computer and tried reinstalling any RealtechHD audio drivers. no good. My immediate thought after this did not work was that it is a hardware issue. I triple checked my JAUD1 port (the port where I plug in the HDaudio cable that runs from the top of my case down to the lower end of the motherboard. When I looked at the top end (where the chord connects to my case) it had seems as though the prongs were bend downward a little bit. I'm only 20% sure that this could be the problem- HOWEVER I don't think that my computer would recognize audio devices if it were this hardware issue.

I have checked my speakers and headphones and everything is fine with those... they were working as of earlier yesterday and now I get zero audio.

***UPDATE***

--> The VU meter next to my speaker fluctuates with sound... meaning that it is detecting sound... but physically there is still no actual sound

SOMEONE HELP ME! :D

thank you and all the best, Linus Crew!

Did you try plugging speakers directly to the MoBo I/O (back of the case)

Quick question, is it front audioo ports or rear audio port you are normally using?

rear audio ports for speakers and front audio ports for headphones - when I plug into both sides windows will recognize that I plugged something in but no sound.

do you think it could be the case audio? in other words, do you think a new case would help the problem?
