So i feel like i need to upgrade some things on my pc to keep fps up on a 1440P moniter i just picked up.
Current specs:
Mother Board: ASUS VII Hero
Processor: Intel i5-4690K CPU @ 4.60GHz
CPU Block: Swiftech Apogee XL
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti
GPU Block: EKWB FC
Memory: 16GB HyperX DDR3
Radiator: 2x 360 EK Rads
Pumps: 1x EK-XRES 1x EK-XTOP
HD: Intel 750 PCIE 400GB
HD2: Sandisk SSD 960GB
HD3: Samsung 850 Evo SSD 500GB
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Now the question is do i go with a second 980Ti or go for a 6700K and the fixings?

Depends on the game, but you should be fine as is.

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

Another 980 ti might be worth it if you want higher minimum frames. I run 2 EVGA 980 ti with a FX 8350 on a Crosshair V. Frames just do not drop below 100 with an AOC 144hz display, ultra-high settings in Battlefront, with SLI enabled.

If you are happy with what you have, then wait to see if AMD has a better solution in a few months, with 14nm cards launching later on this year. It might be worth saving up for the 14nm tech.
