$1500 Gaming Build

Ugh, I guess so but I really want nVidia and a card that'll last me long to do max settings without having to upgrade in a while :/

The R9 390 should be able to do that, it pretty much on par with the 970 and sometimes can even surpass that, I understand future proof the computer the best you can even though it doesn't ensure that the GPU will last longer.

I'll give you a few builds

GTX 980 -http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gHxhRB

GTX 970 -http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LQ72t6

R9 390 -http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6GXXgs

Final build, went for a 970 and I already have that CPU cooler in my current build which I will scavenge and put on the stock cooler when I sell it

Why do you need a 650 watt PSU, are you planning on SLI?

Well for both overclocking, perhaps SLI or upgrade and it's on sale 899kr when the 550W version costs 900kr so why not hehe :)

Ah I see, even though overclocking wouldn't need 300 extra watts but I suppose if it's cheaper why not.

300 extra watts? It's from 550 to 650 which in my book is only a 100 watts? :3

Lol from the estimated power draw of the system. But yeah the PSUs are only 100 watts apart.

Should I go with the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970? Because it has two DVI ports which I need and is a little bit cheaper so I don't know why I wouldn't?

Yeah pretty much, if it's got the I/O you need and its cheaper.

Gigabyte sounds like a pretty good brand. Go for it.
