Here is the link to all the parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Tuckkky/saved/q6BMnQ

I know it's nothing too amazing but it should get the job done for me. I plan on mostly gaming on it and I think it would be a pretty good build, especially with me being a sophomore in high school I can't do something that is totally crazy because I obviously won't have a good enough money source to be able to get amazing parts.

What do you guys think about it? I'm open to suggestions about parts that would make it better and not raise the overall price a ton. Thanks!

Get the os from g2a, kinguin, or reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap and use the money saved to get the MUCH more powerful 380X

after that everything else looks completely fine.

Honestly though, I'd get one monitor for now and use that money saved to get an r9 390 which absolutely destroys the competition right now, especially in dx12, and then once you have some more money get a second monitor. You can't game on two monitors anyway, (You'd have a bezel running down the middle of your screen :3) and while it helps for productivity, that 390 will still let you do what ever you want for a long time.

Get a k cpu and Windows 10 from kinguin

I'll check out k cpus. The Windows 10 in there is just to remind me that it may be my last alternative. My current system has a 32bit OS and when I was messing around with the media installation tool thing it said that I would have to get a key to upgrade to the 64bit OS but it would be free to stick with the 32bit. So I am going to see if I can get the 64bit media installation thing and not have to buy a key.

Thanks man! I'll consider those things and see where I end up from there. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

You will have to buy a key, unless you have access to dreamspark

r9 380/380x> gtx 960. also, don't get 2 gb cards since soon games will use more than 2 gb ram-many already do if you turn up settings and msaa or if you are gaming on higher resolutions.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Yeah, that was one of the concerns of the 960. I did have the r9 390 in mind but my friend said that if I wasn't going to play at 1440p so I just put the 960 in there. I'm pretty sure 1080p will be fine for me since I'm currently gaming on an Xbone so I'm not even getting 1080p lol. Thanks for your input!

In 1080p 380 also usually performs better unless you play games that favor Nvidia. 380 isn't made for 1440p anyways. AMD says it is but it really isn't worth it for that.
