Probably focus mostly on the graphics card and CPU if its for both video editing and gaming, how about going with something like a I7 5820k, or the I7 6700K processors, of course that's in the $300 range for a processor. I personally have an 6700K, and have not had any issues with it, doing both Photoshop work, some video work, and lots of gaming. What about getting two 970's in SLI, or going with a single 980Ti, then just getting a compatible motherboard, like a gigabyte, MSI, or ASUS motherboard. The rest should be fairly easy, unless your wanting a more expensive monitor, but there should be tons of options to choose from. May want to get something like a large hdd for mass storage for your video editing and a decent sized SSD for your os and running your main video editing and such off of, and keeping everything else like games and saved videos to the hdd. :) That's just my thoughts.
