Buy another 970 or wait

So I'm wondering if i should wait to see how the new gpu's coming out in the near future will be worth waiting for or should i just buy another 970 and run them in sli? not really sure what to do. Any thoughts?

wait even if you decided to go with old 970 it would be cheaper and you would save money

I would wait. 

I also have a 970 and it serves me more than well for 1080p gaming. I eventually want to upgrade my monitor situation to a main 1440p panel at which point I will seriously consider upgrading to a 980ti. Thats not accounting for pascal gpu's releasing sometime this year. I personally would prefer a single gpu to running sli/crossfire. Software(game) devs seem to care less and less about making games compatible with sli/crossfire.
