Ever since I built a new gaming computer, I have been encouraging my friend, who I play games with a lot, to build himself a new gaming PC. He doesn't know much about that kind of stuff though, so I am planning it out for him and am going to help him build it. His only requirements were that he wants to keep it under $750 and he wants it to be very small.

This is what I planned out: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/penguin2424/saved/z9tMnQ

I'm open to any suggestions except for the case because he seemed to really like that case

Thanks

I would get a reference card as they do fit in that case, since I'm not sure if the Asus one will fit in the case

and btw, never get psus that come with a case, they are usually very inefficient and cheapy

  • Maybe change the card to a 370 or 950 to save a bit or switch to a 380x if he wants the preformance
  • grab a SSD. I reccomend 480gb. Pre route cables for a future second drive

I'm here to help people and have fun. Feel free to chat!

i5 6500

Asus Z170-AR

Saphhire Nitro 380X

The Asus gpu in the OP fits quite comfortably in the case. There are very good psu included with some cases. Antec generally puts good psu in some of their cases. The Integra SFX 450M is supposed to be reasonably good.

Your build is decent.

You might consider something a little different. One that has less, but faster storage and DDR4 memory. This build uses the stock cooler that comes with the cpu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
