Corsair Case Compatibility

Hey guys,

 

I'm pricing out a skylake build on pcpartpicker and when I go to pick a case with the compatibility filter on, the Corsair 230T isn't listed (which I assume means it doesnt work for some reason). However, when I deselect the compatibility filter, and choose the 230T, pcpartpicker doesn't list any potential problems and says everything is compatible.

Also, is the 450D worth the extra ~$20 over the orange 230T?

Personally have a 230T orange, and I absolutely love it. Lots of vents, good IO, no gripes about it, besides the fact that if you don't have Fan control software, or don't have somewhat quiet fans, the system can get a little loud during load, it's not really designed for sound-proofing tho so I guess it is expected. 

 

Based on those specs, I don't think you should have any problem with this case  good luck with the build

@Cereal5 I think in-terms of cleanliness & keeping a less prominent look I'd go with the 450D since it has the majority of the case already design with decent airflow & dust filtering.

However 230T isn't too bad when you associate how much cheaper & slightly more striking it looks. UK prices differ from US dollars but the Graphite 230T is definitely a bargain.

 

Regarding what "compatible" as a listing for a chassis in pcpartpicker when displaying what is compatible but it's iffy.

@Cereal5 I just replied to your PM.. so yeah, there's no reason to think that 230T is not compatible with that board. You should be fine.

Personally, if its only $20 difference, 450D (Obsidian) is a better buy... but that's me
