Is this fan better than the stock 212 evo fan?

GeorgeKellow

Sp120s are nice. The Hyper 212 Evo fan isn't bad though. If you are happy with the noise already then you won't really get much quieter.

Buy a single NB eloop, unless you are going for a red theme, then yes it is better than the stock fan

reglardless of which spec the fan is, you still wont lose much noise to where it would be noticeable

unless you need a single fan for something else and you have a second as a bonus, in which case yeah the sp120 would better

what I'm saying is if you're going to spend $20 or whatever on new fans just for the hyper 212 just save your money and get a NHD15 later.

I've already got this fan as an exhust. My plan is to use that corsair fan as my heatsink fan then use the ltt 140mm and the back as an exhust

heat sinks really just need air flow over them, I suppose if you have both I'd put the airflow one in the rear of the case and keep the stock one on the 212.

if we're talking performance wise they will likely be the same on the heatsink, and noise wise you're running both anyway so it won't matter.
