INSTALLING MAC OS

Go to solution Solved by tendstofortytwo,

1. It's useless. Don't do it. Unless you have something which needs Mac OS X, it isn't worth all the trouble. For all intents and purposes, OS X works just as well as Windows, with lesser app support.

2. If you really want to, here's a guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-guides/160588-guide-lenovo-g50-70-yosemite-using-clover.html Make sure all your specs match exactly to the stuff given in this guide before starting. Also, I don't think WiFi is working - unless you open up your laptop and replace the card with a compatible one. As I said, not worth the trouble.

i want to install mac operating system on my Lenovo G50-70 laptop, any help please?

without checking, ill just assume you cant install a mac in that laptop

bcoz installing mac in a windows PC needs certain combinations of parts and a lot of tinkering, which a laptop doesnt allow you to do

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

You can for sure get el capitain working on that machine, that is currently my girls daily, imessage was a pain to get right though. The biggest/most annoying part when diving into a hackintosh is getting a hold of the software and operating system (a friends mac or vm) If you are having trouble look up the old mavricks vm on windows it is kind of straight forward but theres a good tutorial out there. Then from there its pretty much the same as the rest of em change a few things in the bios boot into the clover bootloader and play with boot flags.

As someone who has attempted this a few years back on a PC and a Laptop, I recommend not doing this as it will consume a large amount of time but will also make you want to go back to Windows straight after. Mac is simply not designed to run on Windows' based machines and instead runs better on the specifications apple use in their systems.

I'd recommend using VMware and then downloading an OS X VMware image - Speaking from experience, I've gotten this to work before and it wasn't the worst thing, but also had many flaws and bugs inside of it so I still don't recommend doing so unless you have some application or a file that can only be accessed on a OS X computer.

In short, if you still want to go ahead and try it, Google is your answer, as is YouTube, there's a lot of tutorials on how to create a hackintosh but most of the videos require you to have specific hardware etc for them to work properly.
