I have a r7 250 and I brought the voltage from 1225 to 1300 and the power limit (%) to +20 is that safe?

I have an Anet A8 as my project printer and a i3 MK3 for when I want things to work.

I extrude my own filament and haven't saved a penny yet.

My PC:

Spoiler

CPU: Intel i7 8700k

Motherboard: MSI Z370-A Pro

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V (2x8GB) DDR4-3200

GPU: GTX 1070 Founders Edition (OC'd)

Storage: 2x 2TB Seagate 5400RPM, 128GB ADATA SSD

Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 750w  B2

Cooling: Noctua NH-D15. 3 Intake Fans, 2 Outtake

Case: Fractal Design Define R6

Under load? That's not terrible. Pretty marginal OC but do what you want I suppose. Test with something like Heaven Benchmark and post your score increase

I've gone from 1110 to 1164 so far still in process of overclocking on basic settings. I also went from 44.1 to 46.2. I know it is not much but I think it is alot better than nothing.

By 44.1 I assume you mean FPS. A 2 FPS increase is next to nothing so if the temp increase is significant I wouldn't even bother (since increased voltage can decrease GPU lifespan). I OCed my GTX 970 and got about a 13 FPS increase but I got pretty lucky with my card.

I am getting the Polaris and pascal line of amd's new gpu's when they come out so I don't care too much about lifespan.

Still I wouldn't bother. Just potential chances for instability issues when it's not really worth it at all.

Is the reason I didn't get a big fps increase because the gpu doesn't oc very well or bcuz I am not good at overclocking.

Also how can I get msi afterburner to let me raise my core voltage above the default max (1300)

I wouldn't go beyond 1.3v, especially on a low end card like that. Send me a screenshot of your whole overclock on Afterburner.

You upped the voltage and the power limit....what clocks were you able to achieve then?  lol
