So I am about to head to school, but I wanted to know why my Intel i3-4170 doesn't show its integrated graphics. Do I need to install the drivers?

In device manager it says under display adapters "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". When it should be Intel HD Graphics?

Running 64x Windows 8.1

Do you have a GPU in the system? If so, standard the intergrated graphics will be turned off (you can often turn them on in your BIOS though).

What makes you think it's not on though? And what makes you want to have iGPU? (if you do have a GPU)
