Laptop Purchase Advice

I'm looking to buy a new laptop (ideally 15.6 inch, perhaps a 14 inch, however I'd like to avoid 17 inch). I've had a bit of trouble with computer purchases in the past and don't really want to screw up again. Essentially I need something with a fair amount of kick when it comes to processing (Intel i7 or something of the sorts) and RAM (16 Gb optimally), because I make music. I'm also looking for something with a GPU that can run Mid-tier games like League of Legends/ Counterstrike: GO without too many issues. I'm relatively indifferent towards resolution 1080p or 4k, I don't mind.

 

As for aesthetics, I just want something that is minimalistic with no blatant ROG stickers etc. 

 

I was originally looking at the Dell XPS 15 with i7, 16 Gb RAM, GTX 960M 2 Gb and half Tb SSD, but then I started reading into the reviews regarding their poor quality control and can't really be bothered dealing with that nonsense. Optimally something around that price range. 

 

Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Definitely go with something with a 960m. I got a 940m and it's fast enough for CS:GO for sure but not much else.
