depends on the game which game is that

Im using MSI After Burner and Riva Tuner in game to check my gpu usage and im only using max 50-55%. Is this a bottleneck of some sort? I have a Phenom X4 965 @4.0 Ghz

the cpu will bottleneck the card in bf3 but not that much lol. temps on cpu ? screen res ?

might be cpu bottleneck because i see %80-%90 usage with 1080p anything besides aa is maxed ,but its ok as longest you get good frames

BF3 Online is very CPU taxing. You will not get great performance with your CPU when playing BF3 online with a full map. I run the game on Low setting with 4X MSAA just to help keep the frame rate from going into a slide show during times when tons of stuff is happening on screen in BF3 online.

Its at around 58 degrees celcius and im at 1080p.

 

Uhh the maximum safe operating temperature indicated by AMD is 62*C. Getting a little close...

Are you running the game in Windowed Mode for Full Screen? You need to be on Full Screen.

Is your HD 7850 clocking up to it's full 3D speeds?

Woops I gave you the GPU temp instead. The cpu is at 50 degrees in game full screen

Im playing on low settings two but with texture turned uo a little bit.

What's your framerate like?

 

To verify that it's a CPU bottleneck why don't you turn your graphics settings to max including AA and see what happens to the GPU usage then.

What i played at was max all texture 2X af and i got around 60-70 fps and drops of 30
