Motherboard Gigabyte Z170X-UD3

Got drivers from GB's website

GPU: Asus R9 390

Windows only sees "digital display audio" no headphone hack or speaker outputs. I have my headphones plugged in tried front and read output but doesent pick it up, did AMD highjack my drivers?

Thanks not sure whats going on...

Did you download the audio drivers for the integrated audio on your motherboard?

Do you have any kind of HDMI drivers installed for your graphics card?

Sounds like it might be defaulting to hdmi sound. Perhaps this forum thread would help:

A quote from it:

" I would think right clicking the speaker icon and selecting playback devices might give you an option to make the speakers the default device."

Woo!

Can you check the list of programs installed to see if any HDMI drivers show up? It might be integrated into the driver package though, and chosen during installation.
