Hello,

I have recently noticed whilst playing csgo a significant performance drop whilst playing csgo. I remember having a constant 260-300fps but in the past couple months It has become extremely unstable and dropping as low as 180. I'm not sure how to how to find out whether there is something wrong with my cpu/gpu I tried using furmark but it all it told me was that my gpu was capping at 85 degrees under heavy load. Any help would be appreciated because I'm going to buy a sky-lake pc otherwise.

What do you mean "unstable"? and 180 FPS is still quite good..

Run some benchmarks or stress tests and watch your cpu/gpu usage and temps.. see if anything is overheating/throttling

CSGO is a very CPU intensive game. My best guess would be that your CPU is on it's way out, or possibly another component. Running a CPU benchmark should be able to tell you if your CPU is okay or not.

Like what can you recommend any programs?

my fps is darting from 180-300 randomly even when I'm stood still in same place not moving even.

Just the way CSGO is, since Valve can't optimize for shit.

The latest CSGO operation increased the game's graphical requirements, and some of the new maps use the new graphical features (nuke very much so). Therefore FPS has taken a hit.
