My friend is looking to get a pair of headphones with a detachable cable so he can plug in the v-moda boompro

Budget: £50 MAX

Location: UK

He wants it to have a normal headband like my HI2050's

HE IS ONLY USING THEM FOR GAMING

He does know that just because you can take the cable out doesn't mean that the v-moda work/fit with the headphones.

He could get the mic to work with Superlux HD-681/evo but then it will just hang loose, I am 80% sure that Monoprice 8323 should work with the mic.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

I'm unable to find headphones with a non-bullshit detachable cable with that price.

I would recommend just getting some HI2050s and doing the cable mod if you have a solder iron.

Thats what i done with mine but he just wants to plug it in and use them

What if the budget is pushed to £60?

Do they already have the v-moda mic? If not, I would recommend doing without a mic for a while and just getting the Philips SHP9500 headphone. Then later on get a mic. The vmoda mic will easily go into the 9500s on the left can.

They would really need a microphone straight away, they only play on ps4 and are always in a party with friends, i think im just going to mod hi2050's like i did
