Just wondering if this is a good upgrade for gaming/whatever i decide to do/enthusiast

If you have recommendations the budget is around that 1400-1500 nzd mark, (I had a Sapphire r9 390x)

Yea , I think so because the other moherboards with much less features are the same expensive as the asus pro one.

If he likes the Asus looks better he should probably get the X99-A.

But the Pro is only 50$ extra so I would go with that

I did like the wireless ac on the Asus and it did fit well for my white and blue theme which i am happy paying for. 

 

I plan to watercool at some point and do a UV blue coolant with white fittings

and it seems the Asrock heatsink on the top might give me clearence issues with my top rad in push pull

Money isn't that much of an issue i'm fine waiting that extra bit to afford a nice looking build/extra features, as well as asus seem to have better fan control software.

 

My current asrock board is lacking in fan control

Get the X99 Deluxe, and 5930K, and only 8GB of RAM. It's all you'll need for a while and you can always upgrade RAM, but upgrading your CPU is a hassle

What advantage does the 5930k bring for its cost over the 5820k?
