flimsy888

I just got my TB external hdd today, and i want to do incremental clones on my ssd(OS) so if it dies i can easily restore to a new one. What would be a good program to do this?

when SSDs are near their death

it shows

use  "SMART"

SSDs are different

It's not just if the ssd dies, I just like to have a backup around, if there is a virus, corruption, so on.

dd

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dd_%28Unix%29

it can take any input and output like a disk image or actual disk.

It is however dangerous If you don't know what you are doing, and isn't on windows. Also might take ages, depending on your settings.

EDIT: ok, looks like this is not what you are looking for.
