So I reset my PC but kept all the files that were on it previously. After this reset I have no audio, so I went to the Device manager and clicked on "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" and tried updating it. It says "A device attached to the system is not functioning" and won't update the driver. I also tried using the, "High Definition Audio Device" instead but this time it says I have sound and everything is fine, but it says I have no microphone or headphone/earbuds plugged in which I do, so I can't hear anything still. I'm using Windows 10 and I have a HP Phoenix 800-060 (I'll give more info if you need it).

install the audio drivers, properly.

 

or just do a full reset.
