Don't do it. Get a better PSU.

The CX series has iffy performance.

Personally, I'd never by a CX in the first place. But if I did, that would be the first part I'd replace.

 

So get a better PSU first. Then get the 780ti.

 

If you're getting a great limited time offer, you can buy the 780ti now, but I wouldn't use it until you get a new PSU.

But you'd better be getting a hell of a deal, because the GTX 970 is better in price, performance, vram, heat output, and size.

(Not by a ton, but the 970 is better)

Just as well.

I wouldn't want to run a 780ti on a CX430 as the CX430 only has a single 6+2 PCIE power cable and I am sure the 780ti needs at least a 6 and an 8 pin PCIE power cable.

You would have needed to use some molex to PCIE converters and it would have been a bit of hassle.
