Overclocking An Old Cpu

Was going to ask if I was able to overclock this cpu with this motherboard, it's currently my first build (which I haven't finished yet) the gpu was a hand me down and the motherboard was bought used already so the cpu isn't the best since my budget.

 

Cpu: AMD Athlon II x4 630

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

Gpu: MSI GeForce GTX 760 4GB TWIN FROZR Video Card

 

My Cpu Cooler is the Cooler Master 212 Evo if that helps

 

Wanted to get my cpu to around 3.5 it's already at a 2.8.

Will the fan be suffice to do so? I really don't want anything to overheat.

Yep, the 212 evo is great for OC. I have one, but I don't even OC yet lol

Agreed. Ideal cooler for this kind of CPU.
