Hey guys I have a quick question. I don't turn my PC off much at all and in some games I'm now getting 60 fps when I used to get ~90. Is this normal and should I turn my PC off more?

Perhaps it's because the dust build up in your computer is making your computer hotter and throttle.

I used GPU-Z while playing Civ 5 and it was at 59 degrees Celsius.

Has anything changed? Larger monitor (bigger res lower fps)? Updated to newest drivers? Do some maintenance on your system. Do software updates, make sure things that shouldn't be off are not on. Give defraggler a good pass, ccleaner up some old files, virus/malware scans.

90 to 60? I just read that.. Turn off vsync which caps fps at 60.

I never use vsync, but I'll give the other stuff a try.
