This built in fan controller completely bypasses the motherboard. It should be toggled by a switch or button on the case. This is an alternative to motherboard fan control.

Can someone help me? I just bought a new case and I have never seen this cable before. I know that the long one is a Sata cable and you plug it in to the Sata power cable but the other 4 connections look like the fans would plug into it but how would it connect to the motherboard? Wouldn't it have to go through the motherboard in someway? Please help me I would hate to spend all this money and mess it up. Thank you.
