Help with my build. Im new.

This computer is already built, but im wondering if i made the right choices with my build. This is a budget pc, And is intended for gaming. I think in total its under 400$. Here's the specs.

Operating System
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
    Intel Pentium G3258 @ 3.20GHz Overclocked to 4.0GHz
    Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
    8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (11-11-11-28)

    Gskill Ripjaws
Motherboard
    ASRock H97 Anniversary LGA 1150
Graphics
    FullHD TV (1862x1048@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (EVGA)
Storage
931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 (SATA)
    232GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB (SSD)
Audio
    Realtek High Definition Audio

Heatsink

     Hyper 612 v2

Case

Thermaltake Tt Soprano RS 1010 Mid Tower

So first, why does my computer see the ram as 666Mhz When its rated at 1600?

Second, was that heatsink the right one? Overclocked to 4.0, my idle temp is around 50-55.(and is that bad)

Also is water cooling even possible in this case?

And if i was going to upgrade my cpu, keeping in mind i don't have tons of money, what would be a smart decision.

What are you using that's saying the RAM is at 666MHz?

Yes the CPU Cooler is good for basic OC's.

I don't see why water cooling wouldn't be compatible, most modern cases can

The i5-4460 is good for a cheap upgrade. For a more expensive upgrade, the i5-4690k is an amazing CPU, only falling a few hundred MHz behind the 4790k.

Make sure to turn on XMP in the bios to fix the ram

Your case is not friendly to watercooling.

Idle temps in bios are always high is that the idle in windows or bios? If windows thats high maybe poorly applied thermal paster or protective plastic left on the cooler

and lastly yes in the future swap to something like an  i54460

If you're computer is working and being good for your needs, than you don't have to go to forums to justify your purchases.  It looks fine if you ask me but I bet the 666MHz is an error.  Good budget build and I hope it works for your needs :)

The idle temperature being that high doesn't mean anything.  It could be fans slowing down at idle because they aren't needed as much.  As long as you stay under 80C under heavy load then you'll be fine.

The 666MHz isn't an error. He has 1333MHz RAM. Double the date rate.

why?

if you have a decent tv, its as good (if not better) as a monitor.

i have done years with a TV that had to run at 59.7Hz.

When i try to load XMP setting, It restarts and doesnt show a picture on screen. I then have to clear cmos. Is there a way to fix this? and the idle temp of mid 50's is in windows

Its, not the fans slowing down, i set them to full speed in the bios. My average in windows, not in bios, is mid 50's

I'm guessing it's what this person said, it's not showing the full dual channel speed, it's just showing the single channel speed
