where to get amd drivers ?

so i just put a hd 5750 in my rig with my gtx 970 so i can use the amd card for folding at home while i game on my 970, but i cant get drivers, where do i go to download amd drivers ? like i go to their site and go to drivers but it just downloads their software thats supposed to do it automatically but it just doesnt work, and without drivers the card wont even show up and its just a big mess..... help

• connect an AMD card, install AMD drivers
• restart computer with NVIDIA card installed, don't start the AMD drivers on login
• and install the NVIDIA drivers

It could work not sure.

Go here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download and scroll down to "manually select your driver", then the driver will be on the next page after choosing the options.

You can use nvidia and AMD cards together, they just need their own drivers and they cant be used together for games. For Folding At Home though, it will work just fine.

ok, ya already got the nvidia drivers, had the 970 for a while, just got the 5750 donated to me by a friend so i wanted to use it for folding

Would it detect your card when you don't have the Nvidia card installed?

You're looking for older drivers the 5750 will not be supported with crimson drivers.

yesterday it detected both, now today it only detects my nvidia card, yesterday i had my amd card folding (kept failing and not really working ) and evrything was fine but for some reason today it just decided not to work

why cant the drivers just be simple like nvidia ? download, install and forget about it...

 

literally installing a nvidia driver rn, clicked 2 buttons so far and its basically done

Is the GPU even coming up on the device manager?, is the GPU even still working?

That would be because the last time I downloaded drivers for my 5770 crimson was not available for them, and I didn't check before posting my link :(. My mistake.

 

In any case I would try to reseat the graphics card if it is no longer being detected. Because if it's not being detected it is not a driver problem its a device/installation problem.

These problems are not happening, due to having both Nvidia and ATi drivers installed, or at least left over registry keys are they?

idk, not a software guy by a long shot, hardware sure i can do it all day, software im basic.... i install drivers, they work if not well i have no clue whats happening.....

Don't click that, ignore it(the exclaim mark is telling you it has no drivers). When windows detects the card(like it did as you saw), just install the drivers.
