What are your thoughts on the I7-5820K? Someone is selling the CPU for 200 USD. Do you all think its a good buy or should I invest in that 200 in a new CPU? He says that its still brand new..................... Or is this too good to be true? I have no way of trying it out either if it works....

And is it just me or the build for a I7-5820K more expensive? I noticed that the MOBO are way more expensive to the likes of skylakes builds...

Thanks!

If I could start my build again I would have gone x99 for dem PCIe lanes BUT $200 sounds too good to be true esp since they are $320 in microcenter...

If he has a 5820K for sale, he should have a X99 board with him.  Get there, run some stability tests and decide.

True that. I'll ask him. What is the difference between 5930k and 5820k? He has 5930K and that is the reason why he is selling the 5820K for 200.

Slightly faster stock clocks, more PCIE lanes that realistically not many people will ever fully use.

QUOTE ME IN A REPLY SO I CAN SEE THE NOTIFICATION!

When there is no danger of failure there is no pleasure in success.

5930K has 40 PCI-e lanes compared to the 5820Ks 28
