Yeah I had an old asus laptop running lollipop awhile back, but I think this is just a more specialized version.

read the page and correct me if im wrong but is says existing INTEL platforms so im guessing it wont work with AMD processors then?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

It feels a bit like if Android and Windows 10 had a baby...

I tried the alpha version on a laptop and it was by far the best android for PC I used. A lot more useful than Android x86 or those android hdmi sticks. The major problem was that the Play Store was not included at that time, I hope it's included now, it was a bit troublesome to sideload it.

Unfortunately, it's not included now, I have no idea why because they said that they would include it in this version. Although it isn't very hard to install the Google Play Store, maybe you did it a different way?

Here's how to do it, it only took about 2 minutes: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/remix-os-for-pc/b0ij-vCPiQI

That was basically the method I used but I had problems with the Google Play Services, I was able to fix it but I don't remember what I had to do. That was on the first alpha version in the first 24h of release and I installed on a hard disk even though it was not officially supported at that time... I'm confident it works better now and there's probably more informations available if a problem occurs.

It works with AMD and Intel processors. I have it currently installed and I have an FX-6300 and it works perfectly fine. I think the older versions of it didn't work with AMD processors that's why.
