So I have a PC with an I7  4790K, GTX 970, Maximus Hero VII mobo, 16Gb G.skill RAM and a Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler which tends to suddenly turn off. I've checked for temperature problems running AIDA 64 to stess CPU and Furmark to stess GPU.  Temps were normal. PC turns off randonmly, I also used memtest to check RAM. I can be gaming, surfing the web, watching some movie and suddenly ploof: power off. I've tried to see if it's the power from the wall or the power strip but it's seems they are OK (tested with another computer). So I think it may be the PSU. My actual PSU is a NOX Urano TX 850W PSU. I know it's not the best PSU there is but I got it from another PC to get better components with my budget. Do you guys have any idea of what other things I can tes to see if it's the PSU or another thing? My bank account won't be happy if I have to buy a new PSU

have you checked event viewer? it usually gives you an indication that what is fucked up.

It shows a Kernel-power error. As if PC suddenly shut off for some reason.

I checked the cables running both in and out of the case and they seem to be in good condition and correctly attached

iv struggled with kernel power 41 alot... bugcheckcode 0 never tells anything. but what is interesting is that "sleepinprogress 6" , never seen any values for that one myself. how about download bsod viewer to check if you have a memory dump? also if you have overclocking, it may cause that

What's the power like to the computer? It could be a rubbish power delivery from the grid to your pc.

Power delivery from the wall is ok. I tested with another pc.

Will download bsod viewer tomorrow and check to see if that sheds any light on the cause

So a friend of mine told me the problem could be overheating because the pc is in a closet. I've run temps again. CPU right now are at 40ºC with 26ºC. Use when measuring temps was Youtube, GW2 was downloading on background and VOIP chatting with a friend. The closet is always open so that the pc doesn't lack fresh air. I'll post some images so you can see what's it like. The only other place I can put the pc is under the table cause I have very little room. So what do you guys think?
