Hello guys,im new to this forum,so don't be too mean if I posted to the wrong section.

So,i bought yesterday a brand new adata sp550 ssd 120gb version, had some trouble reconizing it in bios but figured it out,I could only install it into a sata 2 (slot/cable) cause my motherboard doesn't have a sata 3 slot and the performance im getting from it isn't that good like I expected, made a test too, please tell me your opinion about it,maybe it's slow due sata 2 cable/slot or something like that. I gotta say that I heard that I have to "secure erase" it before using it as a drive, but couldn't figure out how on the earth do to so I skipped it,my cpu is an intel Q9400 with 4gigs of ram,Thanks!

Secure Erasing is not required to be performed on an SSD. Anyone who told you that is wrong as the drive comes in a blank state when it is purchased.
