Hello, I am moving country for a few months and i was looking to create some sort of Power bar for my travels. I was wondering if I could take a UK power bar and cut the plug off and fit a EU Type F plug on the end of the cable, that way I can plug all my UK plugs into the bar and then the bar into the wall. I know that we both use 220-240 I was just wondering if by doing this i could be damaging any items i plug into the bar.

The bar i plan to do it too is this - http://www.belkin.com/uk/BSV401-2M%20-Belkin/p/P-BSV401-2M/

So something like this, as long as all your devices are accepting of the voltage it should work just fine:

That's what I did when we moved to Germany. Took a couple of plug boards, changed the plug, done. The mains power is the same as in the UK. If you look in a hardware store when you move you should be able to find replacement plugs with a fuse if you look hard enough.
