RAM Usage 98% [with just Chrome Open]

Just like the title of the thread says, I am having issues with overusage of RAM related to I don't know what?  Can someone help me troubleshoot this issue with, but preferably without the installation of any freeware or registry edits.  Haha thanks!

How much ram do you have installed? How long have you used the pc? Have you ran a virus scan?

Built the PC in August 2015.  8GB of RAM installed.  Left my computer on all night last night accidentally, and for some reason when I woke up the screen timer didn't activate nor did Sleep Mode.  It was still in the state I left it.  Would leaving it on all night be a contributing factor?  Thanks.

It shouldn't but PCs aren't always logical.

Run a virus scan or two and check the system info to see if the right amount of ram is showing up. Also, less likely, run chrome and look at the task manager to see how much ram that process is using.

Under 'Processes' in Task Manager, the majority of memory usage is being dedicated to 'System and Compressed Memory' (20-30% - it fluctuates).  Chrome is using about 12% on average.  I don't see where the rest of the memory usage is being allocated.

One virus scan with McAfee LiveSafe.  Results: No Issues Detected

Yeah, I think they do.  They add up to at least 80%.

You might just have a bunch of unnecessary processes running or a virus(I like mcafee isn't the best). So you can read through all those processes or download Advanced system care 9

Installed and ran CCleaner, then did a Restart.  It seemed to work.  Only using 21% - 23% of RAM at any given time.

might just be a ghost in the machine, computers are weird sometimes
