$100 GTX 580

Building a new PC but want amd 400 series. Or I could just get R9 380 or 390 or wait for 400 series and buy a GTX 750 ti or a $100 GTX 580 of ebay. Which is the best option?

580 isn't worth 100$ - you can get a 7950 or 7970 for 100-140$

If you want to get a Polaris GPU, get a cheap 7970 from ebay and wait for Polaris. A 7970 (280X) is still a good 20% more powerful than a 960 and 30% above a 580 all while being cooler and quieter

Probably the Fury X and Fury replacements first then followed by the 490/490X/480/480X

Nvidia are launching 1080 and 1070 in June supposedly and then the 1060 in the fall and then Titan in Febuary and then 1080 Ti spring 2017

One of the cards died after 1 week. Another after 1 month. Yeah... Sounds like too much of a gamble....

 

But i did get something in return for my misfortune. MSI happily replaced my dead 280x with a new 390x. Still have it in the box.
