How far does an Intel i7 6700K overclock on a Corsair H110i GTX?

Also, does the motherboard affect how much overclock can be put as long as it is a Z170 from a reputable brand?

What I am trying to say is, that will a cheaper Z170 like Asus Z170 Pro Gaming handle overclock as well as an expensive Motherboard like Asus Maximus Formula VIII?

Nope, the motherboards won't affect your CPU overclock in any significant way, especially with those motherboards.

What about 6700K overclocking? How far does it go on H110i GTX?

Until someone tests with Skylake to prove this, I wouldn't say that. Just because it was true to some extent on Haswell doesn't mean the same applies to Skylake. Now that the VRM is no longer on the CPU, motherboards & quality / quantity of phases could mean better overclocking to some extent.  In the olden days with Ivy and Sandy this was a factor, once again it could be true.

Expect 4.5-4.7 most likely.  Possibly 4.8, but luck greatly plays a part in this.

Yes, I understand what you're saying but the motherboards he's suggesting are both from Asus so there shouldn't be too much variance.

I don't like 2D games...I just couldn't get into them.. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I was asking the question in General, I mentioned 2 boards from Asus just because I remembered the Model names correctly

Can I ask you something?

Why do you have an i3 6320 on a Z170 Board?

I overclock and benchmark my components and upload them to an overclocking competition website called "hwbot.org" you get points based on how well you score versus other people, and the i3 6320 when overclocked gives lots of points.

I'll be buying a 6700k once I find a good binned one that doesn't cost a fortune, should be sometime next week when I buy one after I get paid.  I found a couple really good ones that could do 6.4 ghz on Ln2, but people wanted a bit more then I was willing to pay, one guy was asking 700 Euros :(

Also you can overclock the i3 6320 on Z170 boards that have the right BIOS's available to them.  The Asrock OC Formula is one of the boards that can do this.  Here's a submission with it at 4.5 Ghz:
