I figured it out, I have the bios set to make Windows think usb is actually ps2 connections, so my flash drive won't show up... But if I turn that off to use the flash drive, I can't access it... I'm so confused...

Sorry for double post, but I've been working on my first build all day and I'm on the brink of tears... I finally got Windows 7 64 installed, and went to update my MOBO drivers, only to realize that Windows won't recognize my flash drive because I had to make it think my usb drives were ps/2 ports since there's no drivers for usb yet.... I am so lost please please help :'c

it sounds like you are on a newer motherboard chipset..and trying to install win 7..which is a mistake

win 7 doesn't have the xchi usb 3 drivers

the best way I found around this is hook the drive up to another pc...drag and drop the intel 3.0 driver pack onto the desktop on the hdd..then put the drive back into the new pc..boot it up..install the usb 3 drivers..then all the usb ports should work like normal

or if you can ..just install win 8.1 or 10

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile
