SSD properties

Hi, with my gaming/streaming pc (5820k, r9 390, 16 GB) I want an SSD of at least 480-500 GBs. I don't fully understand pcie, m.2 connections etc. I'm wondering if they are worth the extra penny? Is price worth the performance?

Basically no. You won't notice a difference between a Sata 3 SSD and a PCIE/M.2 SSD unless you're running benchmarks/copying terabytes of data (to another equally fast drive) on a daily basis. 

 

The same is also true between Sata 3 SSDs. I would personally be looking at the 480GB Adata SP550.

no, you will notice 0 performance difference between a PCIe SSD and sata SSD for gaming

just buy a good SSD like an 850 evo and youre set

There is no (noticeable) difference between a PCI-E SSD and a SATA-3 SSD.

Thanks for the help. SATA-3 means 3rd gen right, which is 6 gb/s?

If I decide to add an additional ssd in the future there shouldn't be a problem with copying or anything correct?
