1 Ultrawide monitor vs 2 24" Monitors (1 144hz, 1 4k) with recomendations?

So as my build is coming along, I still have no option to change my display (as my barracks only allow me so much space, so I'm stuck with a 1360x768 display). I go home for good in May and i'll have quite a bit of money set back. And here is my problem:

1 ultra wide display vs 2 separate displays

I know there is a lot of usage for an ultra wide but I would also benefit from having a 144hz monitor (for gaming) next to a 4k monitor (for photo/vid editing). My main use of my system is to do about 45% gaming, 35% editing, and 20% internet browsing. I also like how clean a single ultra wide display looks on a desk. Note that "ultra" 16 trillion : 1 color and 1ms response times don't matter to me. Anything below 8ms with decent colors (even from a tn panel) would suffice for what I'm demanding. What do you all think and what recommendations do you all have?

single ultrawide

a lot more minimalist and symmetric

editing and gaming are both great on ultrawide, I highly recommend a 34" size though, with 3440x1440

I would go with an ultrawide. Window scaling still isn't that great on 4K and I think the ultrawide would give you a cleaner, easier to use interface for editing. It will also be more immersive in most games.

Are we talking about 3440x1440p ultrawides? If so then I would go with that all day everyday. The productivity it gives you is insane I use to use both of my monitors all the time till I got my new Dell ultrawide and now I barely use my secondary monitor and I use my other one just for my xbox now.
