Is there any way to re-install the windows I currently have without cracking/having the CD?

That would be quite difficult if you do not have a disk or bootable USB.

Luckely, i have an answer to it: This is the dutch version of the page where you can download W10, pretty sure there is an English version as well: https://www.microsoft.com/nl-nl/software-download/windows10

You can download windows 10, make an iso (and burn it on a dvd if you have a dvd drive), or make a boot-able USB, just follow the instructions and go from there. Be sure to back-up any stuff you want to keep on a separate USB, since the boot-able USB won't be working as a storage device anymore after you formatted and configured it for a boot-able device.

Windows 10 will be installed WITHOUT a license, so it may ask you to activate it and whatnot, and i am not familiar with upgrading to windows 10, maybe copy the CD key you have in use now, and use that key for the next install, since i can assume that one is a legit key, so it *should* work.

You can find your windows key in the properties of your computer (start >> computer >> right click >> properties>> scroll a bit down to see your key)

I've had this problem for quite some time where my 980 TI would for some reason get Low FPS even in non demanding games like CSGO/LoL

And I have no idea how to fix it.

I am currently using driver version 361.75 which came with a bug that makes the 980 TI appear in the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media", Ejecting it through that fixes all my FPS issues and I can actually game, but recently some other problems occured.

While playing CS:GO in fullscreen my screen flashes black all the time and it's unplayable like that, also I have some minor stuttering issues while trying to play in fullscreen windowed, other games work fine, If I update my driver I won't have the option to "Eject" the GPU and I will have the FPS issues I mentioned above, instead of getting 144 in CS:GO while capped I get 100-120, it's unconsistent and laggy, and when playing more demanding games instead of 90-120 on ultra I get 30-45 FPS, I took the card to the place I bought it from and they tested it and said it worked fine for them and that there is no issue with the card.

I really need help....

Specs:

GPU: Asus Strix 980 TI .

CPU: i5 4690K - H100i cooler.

Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 7.

PSU: SeaSonic M12 II Bronze 620W EVO edition.

EDIT: 980 TI is not overclocked, i5 4690k is overclocked to 3.9 Ghz automatically using OC genie in the motherboard.

Something is wrong, I get almost 300 fps in csgo on my 970. Try reinstalling your drivers.

Have you actually tried updating to the latest driver, it isn't very clear if you have or not.

Yes, I rolled back to 361.75 because that's the only version with the bug I mentioned, which let's me game somewhat properly.

The easiest way is to re-install windows, that way you can rule out any device conflicts from previous drivers or viruses.

Done when upgraded to win 10.

When I upgraded I chose the "Keep Nothing" option, is that not a clean install?

nope, a clean install is wiping the HDD/SSD, then re-install windows on there, with literally nothing else on the system drive

That way, the harddrive is cleaned, and you are SURE there are no remnants of previous drivers or anything fishy like malware etc.

If you have a disk, or bootable USB to install windows, make a back-up what you want to keep and wipe that drive you have windows on, then re-install windows.

If you still have performance problems, we can rule out A LOT of variables, and start focusing on what it could be

i got a feeling it might be your Hard drive....

i doubt it is the harddrive, as that would give different results in performance loss, like dips into the single digits because of reading errors, not only that, but the computer would be a lot slower too, and i am pretty sure that he would have noticed it, if the whole Pc was slow.

Will choosing "Reset This PC" in the win10 settings work?

If your getting that type of bug on the latest driver then I'm afraid you have some malware. Clean re-install of windows is recommended, as WarWeeny3 said.
