Suggestion, instead of buying a headset for a hundred dollars I suggest buying a microphone and headphones seperately. Because often seperately you can get much better products. For instance I have this Chinese headset, sounds good, its cheap and decent. But then compare it to something like Sennheiser HD 598 and a Blue Yeti Microphone combo, and it looks like pure trash compared to the glory of that combo I plan on assembling.

Nah. HyperX cloud is probably good enough for the OP.

Hyper x cloud 2 or logittech g430?

Purely depends on what you are looking for. As the slope mentioned....if you want the best audio you might want to consider investing in some headphones and adding a microphone such as a mod-mic or desktop microphone.

If your budget is more limited or you want LED lighting then you are in the realm of a gaming headset. Often these kinds of headsets do a lot of marketing and spin of features that don't really matter (7.1 surround, I'm looking at you). The added things like LEDs make them look fancy but these features come at the cost of performance.

That said, I have seen people recommend both of these...if you are set on those being your only options go try them on and see how the feel and sound to you.

What games do you play? If it's games where you need soundstage to hear footsteps like in cs go or you want more emersion like in fallout 4, then still a good pair of headphones like the superlux hd681 (around $35 US) and a zalman clip mic (about $10 US) would be better than the headsets you mentioned, even though they are good for gaming headsets. So either way, honestly the headphones + mic is cheaper and better.
