I know there isnt much of a difference, but here are the two. i have a LGA 1150 motherboard.

Xeon 1231v3 at 3.4GHz

or

Xeon 1241v3 at 3.5GHz

will be using for gaming/day to day stuff

Both quad core, and both hyperthreaded

Now, i have 1866 RAM (but i can sell), so i dont know if the memory controller on the XEON would really matter? but it says 1600 ddr3, it doesnt really matter to me.

Go with (whichever is cheaper) the 1231v3.

The only difference is clock speed, which is too small to matter.

Go for the cheaper option since that much of an increase wont make a difference.
