so i have had this problem for a while.

my motherboard is the asustek m4a79xtd evo and it has a very little cpu support.

(cpu support list: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A79XTD_EVO/HelpDesk_CPU/ )

so the options are

1. getting a new cpu from the list

2. getting a new motherboard.

The problem with number one is that i know nothing about amd cpus, and the amd phenom II x4 965 that i have now is my friends old cpu so its not that good.

The problem with number two is that i really dont want to get a new motherboard as im not shure what to get as im not wanting to change parts.

my current setup is

asus gtx 770

8 gigs of ddr3 hyperx ram

amd phenom II x4 965

asustek m4a79xtd evo

if you need any other information plz ask.

(also my budjet is not that big (200 euro) but it can flex)

thanks for helping me :3

sorry for bad grammar.

I would advise you to get a new motherboard and upgrade to a AMD FX 8-core cpu. :) It's not really worth it to upgrade the phenom 965 to a sixcore phenom. ;)

I 100% agree I have the AMD FX-8350 and its perfect, the 2 motherboards that i would suggest for an am3+ socket are the 970a-g43 and 970 gaming... both from MSI
