I am making the glorious switch from console to PC. I have been doing a lot of research on builds for the application I plan on using. I am looking for suggestions from seasoned PC gamers. The only piece of the build I believe I have figured out is the case. I plan to use the cooler master HAF 912 mid case I have heard many good things about it. To put into perspective the build I'm looking for something to run any 1080p resolution on high settings I play a lot of RPG's like the Mass Effect Trilogy and Elder Scrolls so I know it is going to need some power. My budget is about $1200 and I don't want to need to upgrade for a while. Thank you for your suggestions in advance. I prefer black and red color scheme but not a must my main concern is functionality I also need peripherals

Any color scheme. Location? Peripherals? Do you need a monitor?

Also, are you set on that case? Because it doesn´t have a front 3.0 point.

The PSU you listed and the one I have are almost identical in specs. Minor differences in them. Nothing to fret over.

Please read this tier list. There´s more to psu´s than just their specs. Internal components play a big role in quality as well:

Can you please explain to me why the same company would list their MSRP for 2 different PSU's if they have different specs.

Then they could raise the price of the better one to get even more profit? Anyway regardless, you were right.

But then that´d fall out of it´s value as well. Tier-lists also factor in the value and price of the product as well when putting them into a slot.
