so a friend of mine asked me to build her a pc a year ago.her budget was about 1200$ so i got her an i5 a gtx 970 and overall good solid pieces an build it for her .she bought a keyboard and a display she prefered, and i got her a good mice.

she called me yesterday and told me she cant play witcher 2 cause its too laggy. when i checked whats wrong i noticed she plugged the display into the motherboard instead of the gpu.

She played one year with onboard gpu.i find it kinda funny and wanted tell the community :)

I did that when I first powered on build 1. Thankfully I needed to do cable management and noticed before I looked the fool lol

That's one hell of an awakening.

Think about it- You have a computer that you think is incredibly powerful for a year, and then you realize it can be ten times faster.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

-Because you actually care if it makes sense.

Apparently this is such a problem that a local PC shop gives you a little card with a picture of plugging into the motherboard with an X through it and a picture of plugging into the GPU marked right when you buy a custom machine there, and they also explain it to you when you pick it up :D

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

some prebuilts even go as far as to disable the motherboard ports with stickers and plastic that say DO NOT USE lol. acer does it with there gaming desktops. Guess they just dont want complaints when people say "MY PC IS LAGGY"
